One day in Hiawatha, Kansas there was these three kids, Skeeter, John, and Amy. They also had a dog named Duke. Then next week was pajama day at Amy’s school. So Amy wanted to wear her favorite slippers. Then when she went to go get them, only one was there. Amy was wondering was. When John and Skeeter go there Amy showed them and said “Where is my slipper?” and John said that it was gone.

The three kids look forever for it. The next day they went to school, there they saw Jackie and Morgan. Then Amy told them the story about the slipper, they said they didn’t know anything about the missing slipper. Jackie said that she saw Skeeter over by Amy’s house yesterday. So after school Morgan, Jackie, Amy, and John went to Amy’s house to investigate the crime. When they looked around on the slipper it was wet, it was wet like drewll but also wet like ice cream. That was the first clue.

Now they had a week before pajama day at school. Amy went to all the suspects on her list they were: Skeeter, John, Morgan, Jackie, and Duke. When Amy was done she went home there she saw while walking through the hallway that there was dry mud dog prints leading to Amy’s room and to the outside. That was the second clue.

Now they only had four days left, until pajama day. Amy was upset and was sad. When Jackie and Morgan got there Amy told them about the mud in the hallway leading to the room and to the outside, they were dog and people footprints. Also Jackie and Morgan said they saw footprints in the mud outside. Amy went out to look, and there they were. Then she remembered she let the dog in when it was raining but then it was still wet outside from the rain. Also when she saw Skeeter’s shoes she saw that they match the foot print in the hallway and in the mud. So then .Skeeter could have tracked in the mud and stepped outside in the mud so that left prints. Jackie then said “I also saw .Skeeter with ice cream.” Morgan asked “Do you know why he toke them?”

Just then John walked in and Amy told him the story, he thought so too. They went to Skeeter’s house to get back the slipper. .Skeeter said he didn’t have ice cream for two weeks but then he confessed that he did it all. He confused that he toke the slipper because he wants to wear them, and he was jealous of them. Amy told him he should have asked to wear them. Then .Skeeter apologized and they all went out for ice cream.
