The Stolen Radio

“I don’t understand why we’re looking for this,” I
said.
“Because, it’s a twenty dollar radio, and I want it
back.” replied Adam.
They were at Yin Yang Middle School looking for Adams
stolen radio. Adam had left his radio outside the locker room door so it
wouldn’t get hurt. They went outside for P.E. that day and only three people
went back in during the hour. The radio was brand new, and got just about every
station.
“There
are only three people that could’ve done it,” Adam said, “Bob, Cassandra, or
Dave”
“Well, let’s go see if they have alibis,” I replied.
So they went to see Bob who was raking
his lawn outside his house.
“Hey Bob, have you seen my radio lately?” Adam asked.
“Yeah
it was outside the locker room when I went in for a drink, and there when I
left.”
“Thanks. Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.” Adam
said
Then we went to see Dave. He was at
his house playing video games. They knocked on the door, and his mom let them
in.
“Hey,” said Dave.
“Hey,” we both said.
“Do you know anything about Adams radio?” I asked.
“Only that it was there when I came in and gone when I
left.”
“Did you take it?”
“No.”
“Okay. Thanks, See ya later”
“See ya.”
“Well, I don’t think he did it.”
“Me, neither lets go see Cassandra.”
So the two went to see Cassandra and
found it wasn’t there when she arrived shortly after Dave.
“Someone
had to have come in between Dave and Cassandra.” Adam stated.
“Yeah but no one did.” I replied.
“What was different about the room when we came back?”
“Well, the trash was gone.”
“That’s
it, the janitor picked it up! I did set it pretty close to the trash can.” Adam
said.
“Let’s go talk to him.”
So we went to see the janitor. We
found him sitting in his room listening to the missing radio. When we asked why
he took it he said he thought someone had thrown it away. So the culprit wasn’t
a culprit at all. Adam got his radio and took it home.
