WORD PROCESSING II

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

            Students will develop acceptable speed and accuracy levels by touch on the

computer keyboard.  Continued practice of formatting documents in Word,

Access, and Excel will also be included.  Students will use decision-making skills

and learn to think more critically and creatively to evaluate the quality of

acceptable document formats.

CURRICULUM

INTEGRATION:  The business department and the Sophomore English instructor have developed an integration project dealing with the sophomore class doing an I-search.  A business instructor teaches job application letter writing and the English instructor coordinates the job visitation.  Students are also encouraged to format reports, outlines, and poems for other academic areas when time allows.
