WORD PROCESSING I

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

            Students will develop acceptable speed and accuracy levels by touch on the

computer keyboard.  The formatting of basic personal and business documents

with Microsoft Word will be included, as well as an introduction to documents

produced with Microsoft Access and Excel.  Students will learn to operate the

computer and the software quickly, correctly, and communicate more effectively

with the computer-literate population.

 

COURSE LENGTH:  One Semester (Required for graduation)

GRADE LEVEL:       10-12 Grade

PREREQUISITE:      5th and 6th grade Keyboarding

METHOD OF TEACHING:

This course is taught by hands-on computer applications, lecture, demonstration, student-lead discussion, and group work.
